Description hgunz 2003-10-25 14:36:43 UTC
On one of my computers, OOo 1.1.0 has just started being unable to locate the
default e-mail client for sending documents (Tools | Options | External Programs
is set to "Default e-mail program"). OOo suddenly started sending e-mail to
Netscape Messenger (the installed version was 4.78), which wasn't the default
e-mail client. I uninstalled NM to try to force OOo to use the correct default
e-mail client, and now when I try to send a document by e-mail, OOo returns the
dialog "An error occurred on sending the message. Possible errors could be a
missing user account or a defective setup. Please check the OpenOffice.org
settings or your e-mail program settings."

I've set Win2K to three different default e-mail clients (Outlook Express,
Eudora 6, Opera 7.2), and get the same error with each. Other programs
(WordPerfect, Opera) locate these default e-mail clients correctly. This problem
is new; OOo used to be able to locate the default e-mail client correctly on the
computer. Deinstalling OOo (including deleting all configuration files) and
reinstalling doesn't help.

I think it is not Writer Issue.

Utomo > hi:
is this framework ?

I think you may well be right: I've picked up more indications
recently that the trouble may lie elsewhere. My recommendation is to
close this issue unless and until someone else reports it.
