Description pratesi 2003-10-24 20:49:51 UTC
The OOo source tarball does not contain sources
of the jars in oo_1.1_src/filter/source/jars/ .

Please attach sources, unless such files are to be considered
proprietary; in such case clarify under which license are released,
otherwise attach sources (likely to be found in
http://xml.openoffice.org/xmerge/index.html : xmerge_src.zip )

Confirmed.
Comment 2 Martin Hollmichel 2003-10-25 18:06:02 UTC
reassigned
Comment 3 Martin Hollmichel 2003-11-21 16:49:00 UTC
reset prio to 2, because this issue does it make not impossible to
work with the product.

mh->lo: do you see a chance to clarify why xmerge.jar is not build
from source although there are available in OOo cvs ?
do we need at least a README file in filter/source/jars for
explanation of jar files in source tree and where do they come from ?

Comment 4 lo 2003-11-25 14:40:14 UTC
I've found various things in xmerge that get build in a non-standard
way and are then reused in binaray form by some other projects. All
these sources should be moved to the location where they realy belong
and be build there in a conforming manner.
Since projects maintained by various people depend on things from
xmerge this can not be done in 1.1.1 timeframe. I hope to find a
solution with all people that use things from xmerge for 1.1.2
Comment 5 lo 2004-04-19 15:52:42 UTC
there is still no time to clean out x merge project. in order to deliver all
sources, we should just leave the jars where they are but add xmerge to the
source tar-ball, so everyone knows what he/she is dealing with. Maybe we'll even
find someone who is willing to get this to build in a clean way...
Martin (MH), can you please add xml/xmerge to the OpenOffice alias so it get's
into the source-tree for the tar-ball?
Martin (mmaher), are you aware of any license implications that we should
observe when adding xmerge to the source tar-ball (it's in CVS anyway, but just
to be sure)
Comment 6 martin_maher 2004-04-19 16:13:51 UTC
mmaher->lo: There should be no licensing issues if you want to put this in the
source tarball
Comment 7 Martin Hollmichel 2004-04-21 13:04:20 UTC
the xmerge alias will be available shortly (i28183).
Comment 8 lo 2004-04-26 10:08:58 UTC
xmerge sources will be included into source archive. real build integration for
xmerge is still pending
Comment 9 lo 2004-04-29 09:05:46 UTC
I am setting this issue to resolved, as we will have the sources available. I
will write another issue for fixing the build of xmerge though it is not yet
clear when this can be done (and by whom)
