Description wrichter1 2003-10-21 13:48:36 UTC
Images in Word XP have the ability to be rotated on an axis. If the document is
loaded into OOo, the image is not rotated but remains at the original
orientation it was loaded into the document.

Will include an example

I can Reproduce the problem on
OpenOffice 1.1 (default Install, US), Win XP Pro Sp1.
(And MS Office XP Sp2).
It is real problem

Image is rotated 45 degre CW, but in OOo is not rotated at all.

MRU->CMC/AMA: Here the graphic is available as Autoshape; thus it was
possible to give a rotation value in WW. Perhaps the import should
turn the graphic into a drawing object in this case. Or "Team AMA"
implements rotation for frames / graphics in the core...

cmc->ama: I think we probably should get our own house in order before
getting the filter to jump through hoops with special case handing.
i.e. We don't truly retain rotation in the core, nor when cutting and
pasting from draw to writer for example do we end up with a drawing
object.

Oliver, your term.
Comment 7 Oliver-Rainer Wittmann 2003-12-01 09:18:23 UTC
OD: Started discussion with BH, CMC and AMA about possible solution.

OD->AMA (2004-04-23):
As discussed, take over responsiblity - issue related to internal issue 112067

Another drawing objects/fly frame improvement for a later version.

Impress can rotate images, so why you guys can't copy the routine that do this
to run on writer?
