Description Unknown 2003-10-20 18:34:29 UTC
I don't want to have Fields like Date and Author on the very first page of my
presentation. I MS-ppt I had a "Title" Master for this reason. The rest of the
slides came from a different master and had a different layout.
If I try the same in OO 1.1.0 I have the following problems:

- When I edit the "Drawing" Master using "View -> Master -> Drawing" then "View
-> Master -> Title" is selected (this is kind of confising).
- All changes I make here apply to all my slides ! (This matches to the
help-description I found for the "Drawing" Master, but I seem to edit the
"Title" Master).
- Even If I apply the Layout "Empty Slide" to my first slide, it gets some
Elements from the Master.

Therefore I don't see a way of having a Title-Slide without Fields and other
slides with fields.

This might be a problem in understanding, but I don't get the idea...

There are two ways:

To get different layouts you can use more than one master. Define one master for
your title slide and another master for the other slides.

Or you can check "Do not show on first slide" to hide the header and footer
elements.

Please use the help on http://support.openoffice.org/ to learn, what it already
possible and how to use the master. Then describe exactly what you are missing.
