Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 21433
Forms on dBase files cannot update
Last modified: 2006-05-31 14:29:06 UTC
1. Save a spreadsheet AS dBase (.dbf) file 2. Create data sources dBase format using this .dbf file as a table 3. Use form autopilot to create a form (bypassing bug 20815) 4. Form displays correctly, but data cannot be updated This is the same under Linux (Happy Birthday OpenOffice!)
More info: Forms on a dbf on WinXP does not work. Works on Linux. However, in neither Win nor Linux does a form linking to a spreadsheet work. I first thought it may not work on just MS Exel, but the forms also do not work on OOo spreadsheet. (Finds and displays the data all right, but cannot update...) Am I missing something?

Hi Albert, With the information the FAQ I hope it's clear that you can't update spreadsheets. So I close this issue as invalid. However feel free to reopen this issue if you are not happy with this. Bye Marc
