Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 21323
Cannot Distinguish Between Hidden Cells
Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:12:27 UTC
When one hides a cell for printing, there should be some sort of indication of this, eg it could be greyed out or its border colour changed. It just looks like any other cell otherwise. Also, there is a trick to hide a cell by giving it the format code ';;;'. This has the same effect as giving it the same font colour as its background - the contents are invisible. This is a handy feature that could be given its own menu entry - Format -> Hide Cell.
Hi Bettina, the suggestion about the 'hide for printing' sounds interessting, the second one is IMHO not usefull as a button. The numberformat for all options (>0,0,<0) just set to blank. Frank
Hello Vigil, yes it makes sense to differ visualy hidden cells/ranges from non-hidden ones.
To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on my owner to the owner "requirements".
