An 11 page document with the last 9 pages numbered in the footer by means of the
"page numbers" field, has developed a "sticky" page number of '1'. I.e. Each
page evaluates the field to '1'.

This problem has recently developed during an editing session in a previously
trouble-free document. A modified (to protect privacy) version of the file, that
still exhibits the problem, will be appended to this issue imminently.

Your table changes the page number to one. 
Go to table1, call Format/Table/Text flow
and change the page number field to '0'
