Description snoiraud 2003-10-15 11:27:56 UTC
I have several fonts which are correctly used with OO on windows system.
Those same fonts doesn't work with OO ( 1.01, 1.02, 1.03, 1.1RC )
These fonts are available on :
http://alecole.vienneinfo.org/magazine/cadresomag5.htm
I get the .exe files then extract the ttf files.
I put these true type files in a directory.
On Linux I make :
#cd directory
#ttmkfdir >fonts.dir
#xset fp+ $PWD
#xlsfonts | grep colier => OK
#xfontsel => family : Ecolier => OK

If I use spadmin then add these same fonts.
It doesn't work.

If I edit the font Ecolier, change em from 1000 to 1024, it's OK.
But all the fonts doesn't work. It doesn't work with ecolier_court.

Is it a bug in true type font management or in OO ?

change component from framework to gsl. Non-functional in OOo, works in other
(gnome) Applications

pl->hdu: the font contains two cmaps, the first is an apple format (which we
don't read), the second is MS symbol. But there does not seem to be a glyph
other than .notdef in the private use area or in the lower 256 characters. If
this font works somehow on Windows and with the Xserver, then probably this
means we should try to support apple encoding tables.

Please note also that editing the font is supposed to make it work with OOo; i
gues that means that another cmap is written, but please have a look.

According to the OOo roadmap retargeting to 'OOo Later'.
