Hi,

This happens with most of the main menus, File, Edit, View, Insert & Tools.
Windows and Help seems to be unaffected.

When clicking or selecting any of the mentioned menu items using the keyboard,
writer application just crashes. It shows up the dialog that an unrecoverable
error occured but does not wait for the button to be clicked.

The app works fine as long as none of the menus are used - the toolbar works and
so do shortcuts like Ctrl-S.

Any help in resolving this issue would be appreciated and please feel free to
ask any questions.

this issue seems to go away when run under color depth of 16 instead
of 24.

As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved duplicate
issues. Please see this posting for details. First step in IssueZilla is
unfortunately to set them to verified.
