most of my work with calc does not need any menubars or buttons. 
so a fullscreenmode with no bars, no windowtitle etc. would save space on the 
monitor. 
 
from time to time i am using calc on a beamer to do some calculation for 
experiments in a demonstration. fullscreen would come handy there, too.

Hi,

have you tried CTRL+SHIFT+J or View Full Screen ?

It's not really full screen but mostly.

So I'm closing this one as worksforme.

shortcut does not work here. 
neither with kde3 nor with fvwm2 on suse 8.2. 
is there a way to assign a button to this?

Hi,

place the mouse pointer next to the Gallery Button and select Visible
Buttons from the context menu. the 4 th section from the bottom shows
the Full Screen On/Off Icon. Just click on it and it will appear in
the Main Toolbar.
