Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 21012
wrap error with frames
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:27:35 UTC
I've installed the new version of Open Office (1.1) but I've encountered this problem with frames. I've written 2 page of text and I want to insert an image. So I've positioned the cursor at the beginning of the second page and I've inserted a graphic from a file. With the righ mouse button I've also inserted a caption to the image, and a frame is created. I've selected the frame and I've set its relative dimension (both width and height) to 100%. Then I've set the wrap property of the frame to "wrap none" and when I've closed the dialog box the document is composed by 3 pages (text, frame, text). So I've saved the document but when I reopened it the third page was disappeared, and I've discovered that the wrap property of the frame is set to "wrap through" and not to "wrap none" as I've set when the document is saved. I've saved the document again but every time I open the document the frame wrap property is set incorrectly. This problem disappear when the frame is anchored to the page and not to the paragraph.

confirmed on OOo1.1 reassigned to od. set prio to P5 set target to OOo later @morst: you made two things that couses the problem. first you set the frame, you placed the picture in, as TOP and anchors the frame to the paragraph of the text that should be placed after the frame. second using releativ values. OOo now sets the wrap of this frame to Through to prevent a loop. to prevent this behavior i'll give you some workarounds 1. uncheck the relativ checkbox of the framehight. use absolute values. 2. anchor the frame to the page or as single character.
Accepted.
