Description tparent 2003-10-09 00:51:42 UTC
The impress presentation software has stopped letting me change the style of a
line in one of my presentations.

I open the presentation
click on the text
open the style manager (f11)
double click on a different style

Nothing happens. The style of the line doesn't change.

I even got out of OO, restarted with a fresh new presentation same results.

I even removed my OO installation and re-installed. Same results.

What gives????

Reassigned to Christian.

I downloaded a new version of OO (without the RC4 qualification)
installed that, and still get the same results. I logged in as a
different user and still get the same results.

This was working fine before. What setup file gets trashed that isn't
getting nuked when I re-install? I've removed everything I can think
of in my home directory as well as /tmp and the install area.

Now this is REALLY bizzar! I logged into a linux machine which is on a
completely different subnet (and is behind a different firewall as a
matter of fact, so can't even SEE the solaris box that originally had
the issue) and I see the EXACT same issue on a brand new presentation.

What the H*LL is going on?

OO 1.0 doesn't work either. What gives?

I can't reproduce the bug.
Maybe you try to assign the style to an outline text object (text
autolayout).
The attributes of an outline object can be hard formated
-> select the Text and assign the attribute (color, font, ...);
or soft formated
-> To change the attributes with the stylist (soft formated) you must
change the attributes in the corresponding outline in the stylist.
i.e.
If you want to change the textcolor of the outline level2 you make a
right mouse- click on the Outline 2 entry in the stylist and click on
modify. Now you can change the attributes of outline level 2
If you change the attributes of the outline levels on the masterpage
you change also the entrys in the stylist.

I think this is not a bug.
Therefore I change the resolution to invalid and the prio to P3

I close the issue.
Please reopen it if my description above doesn't solve the bug.
