Description Unknown 2003-10-08 16:07:11 UTC
I'm currently testing StarOffice for accessibility under gnome-2.4.

StarOffice 7 build(01/10/03)
gnome-2.4 build(06/10/03)

-Change theme to LargePrint
-launch StarOffice
-create new text documnet
-observe the Paragraph Styles window

expected: fonts in 'Paragraph Styles' change with font in LargePrint theme

actual: fonts in 'Paragraph Styles' do not change size with in respect of
LargePrint theme

of -> cp: We have a similar inhouse issue.

cp->ssa: I guess this is about not scaling fonts in dialogs too much
to keep them fitting into the visible screensize. We should think over
that (eventually with Malte) to come to a better solution.

Right, UI fonts are not scaled at all to guarantee that all dialogs
will fit on screen. However, we were too conservative here and should
take the screen resolution into account and scale up to a useful degree.
See issue 16682.
If people really need big fonts, they must use a magnifier.
