Description ohki 2003-10-07 04:01:24 UTC
When I run the command
    ./install --prefix=/compat/linux/usr/local/OO
(/compat/linux/usr/local/OO resides on NFS) on FreeBSD 5.0,
install always failes at componet resiteration phase.
I tried NFS server on Solaris 2.6 and on FreeBSD 5.0,
but no success either.

If I installed it on a local desk, it always succeeded,
and soffice works fine after running setup.

Is it a freebsd distribution that you are trying to use to install OOo
or is it just the nfs share with freebsd that won't OOo work with.

a problem occurs on FreeBSD client machines,
even thought OOo_1.1.0_LinuxIntel_Install works fine
if I install it on a local disk of the same client machine.

OOo_1.0.3.1_LinuxIntel_Install can be installed on
both NFS shared path and local disk.

Please have a look at issue 19339. It looks similar. This issue
provides a workaround.
