Description timcastle 2003-10-06 20:53:18 UTC
When installing OOo 1.1.0 on WinXP machines, I get a few (four, I think)
errors at the end of installation. I tried a different mirror with the same
results. I can reproduce two of them when I use the repair utility. They are
as follows:

No Resource: Error message not available
Funtion: 'Copy_Readme_File' Line: 56

and

No Resource: Error message not available
Funtion: 'PythonInst' Line: 56

Note: the errors didn't appear on the machine that had the release
candidates installed, but did appear on all ther machines.

Have you checksummed the downloaded file? Please give the url for the download
source. Did you make a clean install or did you install over a previous installed
office? Please give a detailed step-by-step description.

Tried two mirrors with same result so I did the following:

Uninstalled without checking "delete all files" option. Then
manually deleted all files and folders except "share" and "user"
folders. Then install completed in old directory without errors.
Recieved on message asking if I wanted to overwrite files.
Selected "Yes to all".

This shouldn't be necessary. Updates should be much smoother than
this.
