I have endnotes set to display at the end of the section. I displays perfectly 
well in page view and has a very strange result in Online Layout  (see screen 
image 1) it shows the end of the section and the title I put in for the 
references. Then there are strange 'part pages' then a blank page, then the 
endnotes (see screen image 2) 
Screeen image 3 shows the correct view in page laoyout.

I have being doing more work with documents using endnotes.   
I am geting strange effects when I use the section endnote option -  
'collect at end of text'. Even when there are no footnote references, I  
have to set the section footnotes - 'collect at end of text option' =on as  
well or some of endnotes start acting as footnotes and sit at the bottom of  
some of the pages (not all at the end of the text). It some times get quite  
confused ( endnotes 1-5 disappearing the end of text list starts at no6)  
and I have to save the file in MSword format and reload it to 'unconfuse'  
it.  he Insert>Footnote dialog the Footnote / Endnote option selector is 
always set to footnote. However, each document generally has a 
preferred type and not many documents use both. When one is working 
on a document with endnote references, it is a pain to have to select 
endnote option for each reference insertion. 
 
I propose that the Footnote / Endnote Option be made persistent for the 
session

Problem - the endnotes start a no 5 
nos 1 - 4 are not visable. 
Click on endnote anchor no. 1 you jump to nowhere !

It didn't work in SO6.0 at least not reliably. 
Depending on the zoom factor it sometimes worked, sometimes not.

This problem might be fixed in OOo2.0 I have been unable to replicate the  
problem.

I think we could drop this issue - I have not seen occur in version 2
