Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 20666
SWF Export Text Bug
Last modified: 2004-03-10 10:34:05 UTC
I created a quick presentation using Impress to test the export to SWF and discovered that there is a Text export bug. Letters such as 'o' or 'e' have no hole in the middle and are solid. I was using OpenOffice 1.1.0 for Linux and tested the SWF file using Mozilla 1.4 running Shockwave Flash 6.0 r79. Also tested on Windows using IE 6 and Macromedia Flash 6. The bug appeared on both platforms.
Reassigned to Christian.
I already see the presentation at http://www.robertwoolley.com/files/ImpressTest.html and I think it is bad looking by this bugs. Please Attach the documents which make this problem, so we can test it/faster to confirm. (Without the documents, we cannot confirm the problem easily/need more time) Don't forget to cut other part of the documents, so the file size is small, but we still able to see the problem.
Same problem as in issue 14895. As a workaround please install and use scalable fonts, e.g. *.ttf fonts. *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 14895 ***
Here are the additional files as requested: http://www.robertwoolley.com/files/FlashTest.html http://www.robertwoolley.com/files/FlashTest.swf http://www.robertwoolley.com/files/FlashTest.sxi I noticed that the title (Services) is specified as Albany and the centred text (RW Consulting) is Thorndale. Neither font seems to be installed on my system (according to xfontsel). Perhaps OOo is defaulting to a bitmap font.
