Description jomppa 2003-10-02 16:52:02 UTC
I have a clipped picture in word document. The picture is pasted from some other
program so that the result is OLE object (not a bitmap) and then clipped using a
clipping tool from the picture toolbar. When I imported it to the Writer, the
picture size is right, but the content of the picture is not (the whole picture
is shown instead of clipped one). See screenshots in zip file.

I can Reproduce the problem on
OpenOffice 1.1 (default Install, US), Win XP Pro Sp1.
(And MS Office XP Sp2).
It is real problem

If we open the doc file, OOo will show all image instead of the one
which is user wants (only part of the image)

Writer does not support cropped OLE objects. This has to be
implemented. See issue 20042.
