Description Unknown 2003-10-01 16:34:20 UTC
When dealing with a legal type document which has a numbering scheme like -

1 aaaaa
   (a) bbbbbb
      (i) ccccc
      (ii) ddddd
   (b) eeeee
      (i) ffffff
2 ....

Within the various paragraphs one needs cross references to other paragraphs.
These cross references should be:
a) be relative
b) preserve the number formatting

a) Relative cross references
If one references the paragraph numbered "1(a)(i)" from within the paragraph
numbered "1(a)(ii)" the reference should only say "(i)" but if one references
it from within "1(b)(i)" it should say "(a)(i)". This can be done in Word 97
and later but not in Writer.

b) Format preservation
Writer doesn't seem to preserve the number formatting, ie. a field referencing
pargraph numbered "1(a)(i)" shows only as "i" and not as "(i)" or "1(a)(i)".

Thanks

Manuel
