Product Requirement
Better Interoperability with competition office suites Build & Slide Effects

Customer Need/Problem
Implement all slide transition and build effects that are used by the
competition that are lost in SO/OOo. Such as animated text. This should be
included for timelines.

Comment
Matching is 70%, competition introduced many new ones. Competition can animated
more than one effect at once, with the use of timeline.

Hi,

Although it is important to stay compatible, for me the main reason is to have
better Animation/Effects.

If the effects will be reworked to stay compatible, please also rework the way
in which Effects are being applied.

The "competition" suite handles this better only since the XP version. But it
does now and compared to that OOos way to apply effects seems a bit awkward and
inconsistent.

Also if the rework of the framework is bigger than just the effects, please
consider the issue 4219, which is about the possible size of impress slides.
(For me) the effects and the inability to make posters is the major drawback for
students/scientists when/if using Impress.

I guess you mostly hear complaints, because this section is all about issues and
all that. Nevertheless I would like to thank you, as I haven't done it quite
often enough - I really appreciate your excellent work and simply love OOo
