Description deligeo 2003-09-29 15:46:39 UTC
I have a RH8.0, OO1.1 RC2, on a PIII@1GHz with 512MB RAM.
When I try to open an Excel file containing some charts, openoffice is locking
up for more than 5minutes and cpu usage reads 99%. A top gives aprox 100Mbyte
RSS mem usage for soffice.bin!!!
I 'll attach the excel file in this issue. To reproduce please open the
attached file with an OO spreadsheet.
Not sure whether I should mark this as a defect or an enhancment since
everything works actually but its is just way too slow to be usable.

Hi George and Thomas,

Please try the latest build, currently OOo1.1rc5. I've used windows to
check it and got it to display in about 1 min. Not really fast but
faster as your experience.

Also do not expect the same speed as Excel shows. Our Chart is working
completly different compared to Excels. The amount of data used to
create the chart is enormous I think.

Thomas,
please have a look.

Frank
