Documents with Times Font ( and other Fonts ) have been linked to the Master
Document. Creating the index in the Master Document I found out that the pages
were different to the original document.

I made screen captures of the Master ( bottom line of attachement ) and the
linked ( top line of attachement ) document and compared the two.A closer look
revealed that Master and linked file seemed to have the same page layout as the
margins matched perfectly. A closer look at the font looked the same as well but
the spacing between the characters is slightly different.

This inconsistancy modifies the length of the page when the line is nearly
filled up from the left margin to the right margin, as the last word moves than
into the next line.

As I have lots of illustrations in my document which cover about 1/5 of page
size, the page numbering will differ totally in the master document compared to
the linked document

I tried it with several other fonts, but got alwways the same bad result ( the
lines in the Master Document are longer than in the linked document.

I am Using Redhat 9.0 with openoffice.

I just found out that, when I create a new document with Insert -> New
Document from the Navigator of the Master Document, it has the same
style as the Master Document. At least this looks like a temporary
solution to get around the problem.

can you please attach a document?

i just like to remind that inserting a document in a masterdocument,
the document will lose its pagestyle and take that of the
masterdocument.
