Description khbellgardt 2003-09-24 08:33:25 UTC
When editing formulas it is often convenient to duplicate parts of the formulas
by cut/copy and paste. But the cut/copy operation takes an unreasonable long
time (5 sec on a Pentium 2.4GHz!!) that hinders an efficient editing of the
formulas.

TL->ES: Please check.
Once there was such an effect that only occured in combination with
accessibility. Thus you may check if that problem even occurs if there
is no accessibility bridge.

I cannot reproduce it.
Please submit a sample document and describe what you copy and where

I have attached a sample file including a formula A+B+C=D. I open the
command window by double-click and select "A+" or anything else, then
I press CTRL C or SHIFT DEL to copy the text or CTRL X for deleting.
It needs 5 seconds before that action is finished. Meanwhile the text
input is blocked. There is an immediate reaction when DEL is pressed.

I don't know whether it is important: I have Java 2 runtime, SE
v1.4.1_03 and didn't install the Java access bridge. The accessibility
options are inactivated under tools->options.

Now I have observed a very similar behaviou for text boxes in draw. If you
select text and delete it, this will take about 5 seconds.

There is no such effect under Linux (Tested for Suse 9.0, OOo1.1)

I can't reproduce it at all.
If you have more explanation on how to reproduce it, please reopen
