Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 19951
disk free not recalculated
Last modified: 2003-10-02 11:03:45 UTC
When installing, the user gets a warning of not enough disk space on device to install, which is a "legitim" error in the current case. The installer does not quit, it only asks for more free space (it would be nice to display in big the amount further needed? - I do not recall the actual dialog window). So the user opens a file manager, makes some space, and pushes back/forth, but the installer still claims there is not enough space on the device -- although it has been freed already. For a workaround, the user has to quit installer, and relaunch it, to jump to the next installing step. It would be nice, if the installer would be more informative, aware of the situation and be more guiding.
Which OS is used? 'Other' doesn't help me out.
I can't reproduce. Maybe the 'recycle Bin' hasn't been emptied after deleting files: Deleting files doesn't create free disk space, it just moves files from one directory to an other.
Works for me.
