Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 19927
Master document looses objects after file save
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:43:31 UTC
I have a text document that includes a number of imbedded formulas, graphics and OLE-objects. This document is included in a master document. When all links in the master document were updated all looks fine. But after saving the master document (and OOo still open), some of the imbedded objects are lost and a default graphics with a question mark is displayed. It seems, in very short documents this effect does not happen (so often?). But the longer the documents the higher is the percentage of objects that disappear. Which of the imbedded objects is lost after file save seems to be accidential and varies with each file save.

ES->MRU: it does not matter if sxg or sgl. It's an OLE problem. could you have a look?
new
MRU->MIB: As discussed, it seems that the connection to the object isn't correctly established when saving the document. After reloading the document everything is fine again. The issue also occurs with OO 1.0.x / SO6.0x. The issue doesn't occur when saving the .sxg "with content".
Will probably be fixed when SvPerist gets replaced.
MIB->OS: I assume the issue has been resolved with the embedded object changes that have been introduced recently. Unfortunately I cannot verify that because of #i37296#.
m62 crashes after updating the links. ->mba: I've checked it in cws leanobjects where everything works except for a lot of errors "Copying of objects didn't work!" from sw/source/ui/app/docsh.cxx while saving as *.sxg document Is this already fixed somewhere else?
yes, it's fixed even on this cws. The only problem is that the return code of the method is wrong (so you get an assertion), but in fact the objects where copied successfully.
Duplicate of an internal issue 116804 and the crash is a duplicate of 37296, both fixed in cws leanobjects *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 37296 ***
