mail merge fields do not refresh if source is updated

- Create a spreadsheet - Create a word document which uses this spreadsheet as it's source database for mail merging. (i.e. load the database in the Mail Merge tool) - Update some fields in the spreadsheet and save it. - Reselect the Mail Merge tool in the word document. The fields are not updated. - Close the word document and reopen it. - Reselect the Mail Merge tool in the word document. The fields are not updated. - Close the whole openoffice word application and reopen the word document. - Reselect the Mail Merge tool in the word document. The fields are now updated. We shouldn't need to shutdown and reopen the openoffice application in order for the Mail Merge fields to be refreshed.
