Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 19837
Minor changes to Hungarian locale
Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:00:39 UTC
Eike, this changes comes from Hungarian people. Please apply it to 1.1.1 when the tree opens.
Created attachment 9526 [details] Changes to Hungarian locales.
QuotationStart and QuotationEnd are incorrect, they have to be specified using UTF-8 encoding, but apparently aren't. I only could presume what was really meant (looks like typographic quotation as it is used in German too), but to be sure please obtain corrections for this, thanks.
Eike, could it be caused by IZ? I put this file to http://tmp.janik.cz/OOo_1.1.0_source-Hungarian-locale.diff If I open it as UTF-8 in Emacs, I see something like <QuotationStart>>></QuotationStart> <QuotationEnd<<</QuotationEnd> <DoubleQuotationStart>,,</DoubleQuotationStart> Can you please look at the file at tmp?
Pavel, Seems that my encoding settings were messed up, http and IZ are identical and from the encoding view seem to be right. However, the symbols used in QuotationStart/QuotationEnd in fact are double quote symbols instead of single quote symbols, I don't think this was intended, or was it?
I'll ask Hungarian people.
Eike, Single quotes are not used in Hungarian text. We use the >> << pair for inner quotes: ,,For example this is >>a quote<< in a quote.'' Can you please accept the patch. This patch has been used for ages in Hungarian OOo builds, but we have not submitted it before. Thanks, Andras Timar
Ok. Thanks for re-evaluating.
Eike, do you have it on some branch? Or I could I apply it directly to fix1? I'm cleaning my bugs...
Will be on some branch (probably cws_srx645_pp1i18n2) until next week.
Patch applied to cws_srx645_ooo111fix1.
Thanks! Verified, closing.
