Description amosshapira 2003-09-20 08:40:27 UTC
Tried this both with Writer and Calc:
1. Open the application (with a blank new document)
2. Choose "File->Save As"
3. Type "a b" in the field name
4. Choose OpenOffice native file type (.sxc for calc, .sxw for Writer)
5. Leave "Automatic file name extension" on
5. Click "OK"

The result is an error window with:
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Error loading BASIC of document
file:///home/amos/.openoffice/1.0.2/user/basic/dialog.xlc/:
General Error.
General input/output error.
------------------------------------------------------------------------

Apparently the file is created fine.

The platform is Linux Debian unstable on Intel Pentium III, the package is
Deiban's 1.0.99+1.1rc3-1

When doing the same on Debian Woody, everything works fine. I t also
works fine when using other Linux versions like Suse Linux or RedHat
Linux. So the problem might be related on the unstable not final
Debian build.
