It is a major lack of functionality not being able to password protect exported
pdf documents against re-editing.  A major use of this format is for the
electronic transmission of 'paper' such as invoices and receipts.  These have to
be made difficult for the recipient to modify. Other pdf generators allow the
user to password protect for editing and encryption.
