Last modified: 2003-09-18 10:33:17 UTC
Hi, I am not able to open any unicode xls file. The file is being opened in the document format. Thanks to have a help. InfOZ
Hi, no help possible if we do not get a document that shows the problem and a better bugdescription preferrable a step by step one. Frank
Please do not confuse CSV with XLS. You can open CSV files with other file extensions than ".csv" by selecting the approptiate filter in the File-Open dialog. Please select "Text CSV" in the "File Type" listbox. The reason is that the File-Open dialog tries to open files for all components of OpenOffice.org. And if it finds a text file (regardless of its extension), it opens it in the word processor. Exception: You set the correct filter *or* the file ends in ".csv". And ".xls" is definitely the wrong extension for CSV files :-)
