Description gherlin 2003-09-16 14:10:32 UTC
Trying to edit an imbedded excel worksheet in a word document fails with
General OLE Failure. Also, there is no Edit entry in the alt-click menu for
that object (probably for the same reason).
OOo 1.0.2 has better behaviour.

Hi gherlin,

thanks for using and supporting OpenOffice...

I opened your attachesd file and was able to edit the embedded
worksheet...

I think you need to do the following:
1. click "Tools"
2. select "Load/Save"
3. select "Microsoft Office"
4. check all 8 checkboxes to use OO components instead of
         MS Components
5. Save the new settings...
6. Load the file

I hope this helps you... :)

Hi, mci

That fixes it!

Maybe the Linux install should have these set by default?
Can you pass that on to some relevant person? or should I issue
another issue?..

Many thanks and ciao
