Description reinouts 2001-10-19 01:23:02 UTC
I'm almost sure this should have been reported before, but searches for
'freeze', 'hang' and 'save' don't turn this up.

On Solaris 8 as well as on Mandrake Linux 8.1 I experience a total program
freeze after saving a random text document in OO6 format. The CPU usage is close
to zero so it can't be a 'just have a bit of patience' issue. Also, I'm saving
to a local drive so network issues can't cause this.

Which already reported bug did I miss? :)

Reassigned to Éric.

I cannot reproduce this.
Do you have this with a specific document or does "random text" really means ANY document? A specific file name?
Do you have this problem with a specific directory?
What kind of machine do you use (RAM, prozessor...)?

Hmm, must have been the moon phase or something like that. When I
reported this I was completely unable to save any text at all in OOo
format, (also after restarting), right now it's no problem-- on my
Solaris box that is. I still have to test again on my Linux box at home.

I cannot reproduce it anymore on my Linux box either. I'm stumped, but
I'll mark it WFM for now.

Yep! Sometimes some things need to wait for a reboot ;-)
Closing.
