When opening a new drawing and inserting a 3d object, top portion of screen,
including app window, go black. Program does not respond. 1st instance locked
system so that manual shutdown was required. In 2nd case I was able to end
program with task manager before system lock-up. Video is dual monitor on ATI
hydravision,  In the first case, when system lock-up occurred I was also running
Mozilla and MMJukeBox (which stopped). Hope that helps. Feel free to inquire
further.

Please try to switch off OpenGL support under
/Tools/options/Openoffice.org/view/3Dview and uncheck use OpenGL.
There are often problems with this. The cause mostly is a badly
programmed openGL driver of the Graphic card. Openoffice has no fault.
