Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 19408
Add shortcut to reach the format-menu of a cell
Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:15:02 UTC
Within Excel (sorry) the shortcut ctrl-1 pops up the format-menu of a cell. On my work I have to work with Excel. One of the functions I use a lot is ctrl- 1 to enter the format menu of the currently selected cells. It would be great to have within OO too.
Hi, just go to Tools - configure Keyboard tab and assign the key comination to the appropriate action. Nevertheless I forward it to the feature group. Frank
Solution tested. You can select Category Format, Function Format Cell. This means that the priority may drop to P5 for me. However, it would be nice if this would be offered by default. I also noticed that ctrl-1 is currently set as Line Spacing:1, which is used for text editing. So the problem is that within the text editor you want ctrl-1 to set the line spacing and in the spreadsheet to enter the format cell dialog.
Hello uida1154, you can configure another shortcut unequal strg-1 to 'format cell', by the way, the dialog Tools-Configure will be rebuild in OO.o 2.0, then it is more intuitive to change configurations.
Closed.
