Description wnickl 2003-09-10 09:33:01 UTC
When generate a form over auto-pilot to a data source witch has a primary key as
auto value the following problem occurs.
You can jump threw the datasets but you can't insert a new dataset.
The following error is shown if you want save a new dataset.

Error writing data to database.
Input required in field 'ID'.
Please enter value.

When you add an new dataset in the Table direct all works fine.

The connected database is MySQL with Data source "MySQL" with Myodbc.

hi wnickl,

I have no problem to add new record into a mysql table via a form. I
have tested on Windows XP with myodbc 2.5 and on linux with a myodbc
driver.

What structure has your table?
Is the autovalue field present in the form?
Is the issue still occur in the OOo 1.1 RC4 build?

Thanks in advance
Marc
