Last modified: 2013-02-07 22:32:58 UTC
* How to reproduce: o start OOo o File->New->Presentation - Autopilots pops up o choose "Empty Presentation", ->Next o choose "Presentation Background", "Subtle Accents", "Screen" -> Next o Select as Effect "Spiral Inward Clockwise" Select as Presentation type "Automatic" Duration of page "00:00:05" Duration of Pause "00:00:20" Click "Create" o in the following popup select some layout for the page o fill out the predefined frames (depending on what layout you choose) o once finished use "Edit->Select All" o Edit->Copy o Insert->Slide o select the empty layout on top left o edit->paste o change texts to see difference between page 1 and two o repeat above until you have 4 or more slides availiable o select slide 1 again o Now click "SlideShow->Slide Show" => slideshow starts with page 1 => after more that the defined 5 seconds, the second slide gets displayed => after that, nothing else happens. slide 2 is the last Slide that gets displayed
The problem seems to be already in the version 1.0.2. I have also tried to import a presentation from the MS Power Point which has probably set the automatic slide show and it has worked. All slides has been automatically showed one by one by the OOo-1.1rc4.
I have tried to save the presentation from MS Power Point in the OpenOffice.org file format and the automatic slide show still works well. I will attach the working .sxi file.
Created attachment 9140 [details] The presentation converted from the .pps format where the automatic slide show works
Reassigned to Christian.
set to new and change the target
This is not a bug but the 'normal' behaviour. With the Presentation type in the AutoPilot you set the slide transition for the slides which available in the moment. In an empty presentation this is only one slide, for a presentation 'from Template' this are several slides. All slides you add to the presentation afterwards the slide transition is manual. To change the slide transition of one (or more) slides you must change into the Slides View (View/Workspace/Slides View) select the slides which you want to edit and assign another slide transition. The transition of a single slide can also be changed with the Slide Transition Dialog in Slide Show. If you think this behaviour is not very intuitive Please write a feature request (Issue Type -> Feature).
The Slides View (View/Workspace/Slides View) looks fine but I think that it is ugly to set the automatic transition separatelly for each slide. I also think that the possibility to run the AutoPilot for the already created presentation is not much intuitive solution. I see some problems: 1. I don't see the default setting for transition of slides. So, I can not simply set the default behaviour for new slides. 2. I would expect that the setting from the Autopilo would be the default for new slides until it will be changed somewhere in the menu. 3. There are possibilities to control the slide show in Slide Show/Slide Show Settings... There is possibility to force manual transition. There is also the item "Auto". I would expect that it would allow to see the whole presentation with the constant pause between each slide but it sets only the pause after the last slide.
I think the 3 toppicts above are enhancements/features for the Autopilot and/or the slide transition dialog. Therefore I send this issue to you. Please have a look.
