Description simonbr 2003-09-09 07:22:39 UTC
The (...)"/lang/dutch directories in the extras project had been removed in
OpenOffice.org 1.1 sources. The effect is that in the Dutch localized
OpenOffice.org 1.1 RC2, the AutoText, and the AutoPilot templates, are in
English instead of Dutch, and the AutoCorrection lists are empty.

The reason to remove these subdirectories is apparently because the old format
(non-XML) of the files they contained in 1.0 is not supported anymore by 1.1.

I provide here an archive of all these files, converted to the new XML format.
A Dutch 1.1 RC4 was built with these, and they work fine.

The patch is simply applied by copying all the "dutch" directories and their
contents into the corresponding "lang" directories of the extras project.
Please apply the patch ASAP, as only the Dutch localization is affected, I
cannot think of any objections to do so.

The list of directories is:
extras\source\autotext\lang\dutch
extras\source\migration\lang\dutch
extras\source\misc_config\lang\dutch
extras\source\palettes\lang\dutch
extras\source\templates\layout\lang\dutch
extras\source\templates\presnt\lang\dutch
extras\source\templates\wizard\agenda\lang\dutch
extras\source\templates\wizard\desktop\lang\dutch
extras\source\templates\wizard\fax\lang\dutch
extras\source\templates\wizard\letter\lang\dutch
extras\source\templates\wizard\memo\lang\dutch
extras\source\templates\wizard\report\lang\dutch
extras\source\templates\wizard\styles\lang\dutch
extras\source\templates\wizard\web\lang\dutch
extras\source\wordbook\lang\dutch

As the Danish, Russian, Polish, and Portuguese localizations will have similar
issues, I will attach a document shortly with more information about the
conversion of the template files into XML format.

I tried your procedure, Simon.

I found that english autotexts were present in our danish build RC4 as
default. Can you confirm that the english autotexts are still
available in your localised 1.1 RC4 too?
Comment 6 simonbr 2003-09-14 10:25:33 UTC
Hi Soeren,

No, autotexts in 1.1 RC4 NL are positively Dutch.

Check in OOo 1.0.3 DK if your autotexts in that version are Danish to
begin with.
Convert them to XML according to the procedure. The resulting *.bau
files in {ooo_1.0.3_install_dir}/share/autotext/danish/, and
mytexts.bau in {ooo_1.0.3_install_dir}/user/autotext/, should be
copied to {ooo_1.1_src_dir}/extras/source/autotext/danish/ .

Remove the wntmsci9.pro directory (or the one similarly named, if you
build with 4NT or for Linux) in {ooo_1.1_src_dir}/extras before you
rebuild the project.

Thanks, Stefan

Hi, Christian!

As I learned from Tom Verbeek that you are responsible for the
localized StarOffice Extras, I would like to forward this task to you.

This task is connected with the task "i18856".

Thanks in advance.

Volker

This (zip)file is corrupt:
extras\source\autotext\lang\dutch\standard.bau

in extras.zip (attach id=9115).
Comment 10 simonbr 2003-09-25 17:28:32 UTC
Hi Soeren,
Are you sure? I just re-downloaded the attachment, took standard.bau
from it, renamed it to standard.zip and I could open it on Windows
XP.
Comment 11 stp 2003-09-25 17:41:07 UTC
Yes. Please try to verify or unzip the zip-file. You can open it, but
when you unzip it fails.
Comment 12 simonbr 2003-09-25 17:59:47 UTC
Hi Soeren,
Yes, I see it now. Most of the autotexts under "standard" seem to be
OK though, only one appears to be missing.
I'll try to fix it.
Thanks!

I was able to reconstruct the file standard.bau and replaced the
corrupted one in extras.zip.
Please use the latest uploaded file.
Its MD5sum is:

tar.gz file containing updated set of extras files
Comment 16 simonbr 2003-10-05 11:15:48 UTC
Since the files haven't been added into the source tree yet, I have
made a small update, changing a string in the prs_novelty.sti
template which had been in German probably since Star Office 5.

To facilitate adding the files in Linux/Unix as well as in Windows
(cygwin) the file is in a tar.gz format, and I added a shell script
so that you can easily copy the files into an OOo source tree.

Instructions (assuming the source tree is /home/simon/oo_11_src):
1) unpack the file with tar zxf addutch.tgz
2) run ./addutch.sh /home/simon/oo_11_src

Please commit this asap to CVS. No files are modified, only added,
and only the Dutch localization uses them. So there is no risk of
breaking things. If any more information or help is needed, please
let me know.

Comment 17 weko 2003-10-20 15:04:27 UTC
Hi, Simon!

From now on you are entitled to check in files into the CVS system. :
-)

So you can check in the dutch files by yourself. This will make your
work much easier and faster.

Thanks!

Cheers!

Volker

Hi Simon, have you had a chance to check the CVS access already?
Comment 20 simonbr 2003-11-19 22:36:09 UTC
Hi Stefan, I haven't gotten around to it.
I will have a look at it shortly.
