Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 19240
Direct Cursor now very limited. Bug/Feature?
Last modified: 2003-09-08 16:56:16 UTC
Hi, I just tested the Direct Cursor feature and found it significantly different from OO1.0.3.1. This may be by design or a bug, so I thought it best to report it. In OO1.0.3.1 the Direct Cursor allowed the placement of the cursor at the tab stops. In OO 1.1.0RC4 it now only appears possible to have the cursor placed left, centre or right. The help files indicate in fact both actions are incorrect. The help files imply it is possible to place the Direct Cursor where you want and the tab will be appropriately placed at that point. In OO1.0.3.1 this appears to be to the current tab level. At no time could I get the Direct Cursor to be at a finer level than the tab positions and thus no actual tab was created. Direct cursor now appears to do nothing more than left, centre, right justify the paragraph for a user. A bug or a simplified feature? Hope this feedback helps. Kelvin
