Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 19139
Prints wrong page numbers
Last modified: 2003-10-23 11:33:23 UTC
pdf output page range: in documents with title page style, where “second” page starts as page 1 with a different page style, selecting print range “1, 2-3” outputs * the title page, * a blank page after the title page :-( * the real “page 1” * NO SUBSEQUENT PAGES 2 or 3. see also Issue 19138
I've noticed the same thing. What it prints is the actual page, ignoring the page number settings. It would help if it printed the page number settings as that is easier for someone to figure out, however, it could cause problems where there are several pages numbered, let us say, i, ii, iii, ... followed by 1, 2, 3, .... What is happening is that the program is adding a blank page, which now becomes page 2 and the next page, which becomes page 3 and it's done. IF (capitalized for emphasis), the title page (likely a "right page" style) is followed by another right page style, this is valid. However, I've noticed it even if the "right page style" is followed by a "left page style" (in which case I get three blank pages). Something's screwed up here.
Please Attach the documents which make this problem, so we can test it. (Without the documents, we cannot confirm the problem easily) Don't forget to cut other part of the documents, so the file size is small, but we still able to see the problem.
Created attachment 9710 [details] very small sxw file with title pages & body page styles

IF (capitalized for emphasis), the title page (likely a > "right page" style) is followed by another right page style, this > is valid. The attached file has two user defined page styles none of which is set to be a Left or Right Page Style. Yet the blank page appears. The blank page seems to be due to a page break setting in a modified heading paragraph style "Heading1". This is described in Issue 3910.
