Description milossramek 2003-09-05 16:03:48 UTC
Hi,

1. It looks like that entries in Bibliography database (at least Authors and
Title) can have only up to 76 characters. I propose at least to double this
amonunt, since these entries can be sometimes pretty long.

2. Some fields (e.g. Organization, Note) do not get into the document.

3. To update the Bibliography in the document, I have to highlight something in
it in order to be able to select "update Index/Table" by the right mouse buttom.
This is not intuitive

4. If I change something in a Bibliography database entry, changes are not
transfered to the document by "update Index/Table" directly. To get the changes,
I have to delete the coresponding citation and to enter it back. Again, this is
not intuitive

5. The Bibliography database user interface should not show all the possible
entries, but only those, which are relevant to the given citation type.
Similarily as in the 'pybliographic' tool, which is based on the bibtex system,
where the entries are further classified in mandatory and optional

Thanks in advance! OO is really getting better and better

Milos

Thank you from reporting your concerns.
1. The problem of field size will be corrected soon. See issue
16268.
2. Organization and note are not usually specified in Style manuals
as required fields. You can add these fields manually in the
Bibliographic table definitions panel.
3. Yes this is a limitation we hope to correct.
4. You should only have to place the cursor into the table to get
the table context menue. You should not have to select / highlight
text. If you do have to highlight the text, please report this as a
fault in a new issue.
5. We hope to greatly improve the user interface and fix these
issues.

I will set this are a duplicate to our head Bibliographic
improvement issue.
