Description philmperry 2003-09-05 00:06:19 UTC
After doing database subtotals (Data > Subtotals) there does not appear to be
any easy way to reset the subtotal operations to restore the database. The user
needs to bring up each "xxx Group" tab for each grouping, select the "- none -"
choice for "group by", and press OK to rerun the subtotaling. It would be nice
to have a button on the dialog to reset both the database and (at least) the
"group by" fields, so that subtotaling is completely reset. The database would
be reset too, so there is no need to press "OK" and run a null subtotal operation.

Hi Bettina,

one for you.

I would like to close it because the user can simply remove such
subtotals by placing the cursor in the desired range, select data
subtotals and set the groups to none. The subtotals will be removed.

forgot to target this one.

While it's true that the subtotaling can be cleared by the method you
describe, it's a "long way around the garden" to get the desired
result. A button to clear and reset everything would be a great
convenience.

Hello philmperry, just use the option 'Group by 'none''.
