Description filofel 2003-09-04 13:04:24 UTC
I have a 1.0.3 swx document where I have associated all levels with a "numbered
(numbering?" style.
The result is that applying Title 1 to N automatically generates the right
numbers, giving something like this:

1 Some level 1 title
1.1 Some level 2 title
1.2 Some other level 2 title
1.2.1 Some level 3 title
1.3 Some other level 2 title
etc.

When I read this document with 1.1 RC3 and browses through it:
- the place where the numbers should be is grayed, looks like it has the right
size, but doesn't contain any number.
- When I look at style Title 1, Title 2, etc, in the "numbers" tab, the
"numbering style" is blank

If I try from scratch to recreate an automated hierarchical numbering system
like the one described above, whatever way I try, I simply can't get the numbers
to automatically appear when I select the corresponding title, even though when
the numbering style preview tab looks fine. IOW, the document never looks like
the preview.
I can send you a document that reproduces that problem if you wish. It's in
French, but whatever the language, we tend to use the same numbers and numbering
systems anyway!

jw: reassigned to es

reproduced on OOo1.1RC4 as seen
Comment 2 eric.savary 2003-09-09 15:54:44 UTC
ES->HB: as discussed -> already fixed in 680 (iBIS #110778#). Must be
also fixed for OOo 1.1.1 (nearly data loss + regression).

There is an iBiS-task for the same problem: 110778 (targeted for 2.0)

propagated fix to 1.1.1.

Set to verified.

The way to easy reproduce was to setting following values in the
Numbering/Bullets dialog:
- TabPage Position, Spacing to text=2cm; Minimum Space numbering <->
text=2,50cm; Numbering alignment=Center -> The number within the number-field
disapeared.
Verified in 645m27s1-1_8738 = ok
