Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 19043
officecfg project contains strings that should not be translated
Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:00:08 UTC
Hi, this string from GSI file is exported to be translated, but when we (in the past, we do not translate it now) and now Danish team translated it, OOo will not start with GetStorage, name: "No Content!". officecfg registry\data\org\openoffice\Office\Common.xcu 0 value ..Common.View.Localisation AutoMnemonic 0 1 true 20030819 13:33:3 officecfg registry\data\org\openoffice\Office\Common.xcu 0 value ..Common.View.Localisation AutoMnemonic 0 42 true 20030819 13:33:3 After manually changing the translated string in /tmp/DAN/OpenOffice.org1.1.0/share/registry/res/da/org/openoffice/Offic e/Common.xcu back to true, OOo started without problems. I think such strings should not be exported to GSI files. The next string in that project is "10" IIRC...
To enable config items for language dependent values without translation, we have introduced the language "x-no-translate". Please add correponding entries to all affected items. => Reassigned to TPF
If there are issues with concrete config items you should normally contact the responsible author (obtainable via the author tag in the corresponding xcs file). Nevertheless, as this is a minor change and I'm usually more familiar with the config issues, I'll do it.
I'm taking over.
Resolved in CWS scp2officecfg
No change in the product by this fix. Strings are not extracted by cfgex any more -> Setting to verified Note: with this fix x-no-translate entries are simply ignored. If there is a need for more functionality the x-no-translate entry could be made the default for all languages, but that would be a separate RFE.
Pavel, Please verify that this works as intended on SRC680_m47 or later (or any CWS based on such a milestone) and then close the issue.
