Description Unknown 2003-09-03 10:32:17 UTC
When expanding text the spacing between characters is very irregular. It
appears fine in Writer, but in the character preview pane and the final
printout the gaps between characters are inconsistent

Expanded text does work on Linux machines but not windows
Comment 5 Oliver Specht 2005-02-23 07:45:40 UTC
The dialog preview window is not able to create a correct text formatting.

It would be nice to know which printer is used.
Reassigned to FME

Expanded text previews and prints properly on Fedora Core 3 machine running
oo.org 1.1.3

In OOo v2.0.1 and assuming all previous, for character space expansion, space is
added after the last character in the selection.

In the condensed case, no space appears to be removed after the last character
in the selection.

The Online Help says that character spacing affects space 'between' the selected
characters, so it seems that condenced spacing is done correctly whereas
expanded spacing isn't.

This is on a Fedora Core 3 system with OOo v2.0.1 but I assume it's the same for
all systems.
