For issue 18994, as well as for other potential features, form controls should
have the possibility to not only be bound to a database table/query column, but
also to other arbitrary external values.
This should be done with an abstract interface like e.g. XBindableValue, which
allows to pass an external instance to the control (e.g. XValueBinding), whose
actual value is kept in sync with the control content.
