Description tamblyne 2003-09-02 11:26:02 UTC
Many users are getting to the URL above (Windows/English download mirrors) and
don't know what to do from here.

It is confusing because (1) they have chosen the English version and many
non-English speaking countries are included in the mirrors and (2) the name
"BinaryCode" seems to cause confusion -- many don't seem to understand that it
is the name of the site and not a reference to the OOo program itself.

Perhaps the confusion could be resolved by placing a short explanation in the
first column (Under "Windows (en)") stating that -- "The links to the right are
mirror sites. Choose one near you." -- or -- "Click on one of the links to the
right to start the download."

hi
rather funny: I had the same language once and that caused *more* confusion!
it is very difficult creating a system given the tools we are using that is really un-
confusing.
However, Kay is using javascript to see about creating a better system. She is working
on dev@website.openoffice.org. Please join her.
I'm keeing this open and adding Kay.

Kay's JavaScript seems to have solved this problem -- closing.
