Please be more detailed.
Comment 2 Unknown 2003-09-02 09:05:51 UTC
My system is SuSE 7.2 but with upgraded kernel (to 2.4.20), kde 3.1
and the latest gcc (3.3.1). glibc is still 2.2.2.
The problem happens both in konsole and xterm, after I've unpacked the
installer to /tmp/OOo_1.1rc3_LinuxIntel_install
became root and typed ./install --prefix=/opt
Here's the complete message:
------------------------
Installation starting, please be patient ...
glibc version: 2.2.2

Initializing installation program....................
Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
Xlib: Invalid MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 key
cannot connect to X server

Installation Completed
--------------------
Takes only a few seconds, nothing to be seen in /opt.
