Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 18932
Selection of Network install from within installation wizard
Last modified: 2013-02-07 22:32:29 UTC
It'd be good if you could select network install as an option in the installation wizard. It's very hard to get command line arguments to a program in the newer windoze. i.e. cd Openof~1 damn cd OpenOff~1 damn cd openoff~1.org damn just trying to get into the folder type 'setup /net' can be a chore. Hi Bettina, I think with the new setup process (creating network installation only) this feature request would be obsolet.
That will allow painless installation on winXP? I tried to install it on a multiuser XP machine, but obviously it would only create shortcuts etc. for the one user. If you installed it multiuser, it would install the local files to some public place, rather than a single user specific location (i.e. should go in /Document and Settings/user somewhere) Lisa
