Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 18905
I can't see the fields in my query (Data Sources)
Last modified: 2003-12-09 15:18:47 UTC
Hi! I create a connection to a MSAcess file, by odbc... (View -> Data Sources) After I create a query. No problem, so far. When I open the "Insert Fields" dialog (Insert -> Fields -> Other -> Database), and select my query, the Ooo don't show the fields to me, but the others tables yes... just the query is not displayed I must to open the Data Sources (View -> Data Sources) and select the query and drop down the field to my document... I expect to have explained correctly. Thanx. _____________________________________________ Using: Ooo 1.1 RC3 English Windows 98 SE Brazilian Portuguese PC AMD Athlon XP 1700+ 256 RAM
reassigned to msc can you please take a look on this issue?
i overtake
CLU->hwoarang: can you please try out if this behavior still occurs in the final oo version (or newer)?
Hwoarang->CLU yes... still happens in 1.1 final... when I open Insert Fields -> Others -> Database, I choose Mail merge fields in Type category, so for every table and query that was create, originally, in database I can choose the fields, but for the query that I create by OpenOffice (View -> DataSources) I can't. this is not a big problem, because we can choose the fields in View - > DataSources, like I said before... but still happens thanx Hwoarang _________________________ Using: Ooo 1.1 English Win98 SE PC AMD Athlon XP 1700+ 256 RAM
CLU: works for me in a oo1.1.0 CLU->hwoarang: sorry, i cannot reproduce that behavior - my created views occure in the list with all containing fields as well - if you find anything out, after reinvestigate it, do not hestitate to add it to this issue CLU->All: can anybody else reproduce this behavior and add further info?
its odd to me now... I create a query today and all works fine, just the query that already exist in document do not work... but I think this is the "why": the query that not work was made when I was using 1.1rc4, or 1.1rc3 (I don't remember), and the query that I create today was made in 1.1 final... maybe a little issue when importing the querys... Like I said before, this is not a big deal, so thanx for the attention Hwoarang
CLU->protocol: anyhow Hwoarang's data is corrupted - this behavior is not reproduceble (does not occure with current version) so i close this issue CLU->All: do not hestitate to reopen this issue if necessary
