Last modified: 2004-07-26 13:24:10 UTC
Look at the second line of Chinese (the first line of CHinese after the "welcome" chinese message at the top). The text is messed up.

encoding are mixed up due to incomplete translation of readme.

Hi Frank, who is responsible for this readme file? I've attached the hmtl file.
btw .. there are some lines of german text in .txt and .html
Isn't this a problem with readme.xrm?
mh->khirano: yes inclomplete translation in readme.xrm. We need to complete translation in this file. Who is able to do this ?
Do we have a zh-cn version of this document? If so, I can provide a quick translation from zh-cn to zh-tw within 0.5 minute. Though not all "localised terms" will be modified with that translation program, but should be mostly OK. Even not "localised terms" are used, there should be no problem understanding anyways one can easily guess the meaning of terms in Chinese as long as he know all the words in the term. In business documents at least.
I think Paul Wong must be given an instruction how to get readme.xrm, how to translate and edit it.
If it's total translation from English to Chinese. I won't have the time for now. But if it's from zh-cn to zh-tw, then it's simple.
as OOo 1.1 is released, so I retarget this for 1.1.1 can we get this on 1.1.1 , or we extend again ?
please retarget to 1.1.2 if there is now no time to fix it.
Translation, could you please fix this too and provide translation of README?
it seem's that we are not able to fix this problem in time for 1.1.1 so I set target to 1.1.2
If you guys don't have time to due with it, I wonder if you are willing to pass the job to us. We should be able to translate it. Can the Chinese native-lang project take on this job? If so, please point us to where we can find the English version so that we can start the job. When are we planning to release 1.1.1? We may actually be able to fix this before it if it's a few days away.

112_TW.txt and 112_CN.txt are the two translated files (translated string by string according to the extracted strings from src). Hope I'm fast enough to get it into 1.1.2? Thanks.
You are. Thanks! Ivo, please merge those two GSI files to 1.1.2.
gh: Please merge into 1.1.2
merged sdf files in CWS mergepp3

Hi, I just discovered I've missed one string in zh_tw file. I'll attach the fixed phase below
Created attachment 15092 [details] Fixed string for zh_tw
In case we do not open pandorras box again for 1.1.2, we will have to retarget to 1.1.3.
Hi, The string still contains english text "Tools - Options - View - 3D view", "Use OpenGL" It seems as if it points to an Option in the UI. Shouldn`t the strings get translated as well since they refere to the translated UI? Appart from this, to be safe with encodings please attach as compressed file. (e.g. using bzip2)
We have a short timeframe to still get the string in 1.1.2 So please supply an attachment as requested above. Deadline will be May 12th 2004
Hi, I'm having difficulty finding the location of "Tools - Options - View - 3D view", "Use OpenGL". Which applicatoins are those for? And where're those? I don't want to create terms myself that does not match the actual GUI that those two strings are descripting. Can you tell me? Thanks.
Hi, to reach "Tools - Options - View - 3D view, Use OpenGL" you have to (in an English version) Open the menu item Tools/Options Open the tab OpenOffice.org / View At the right hand side you'll find a separator with the label 3D view and below an checkbox with the text Use OpenGL The meaning is explained in the online help: Specifies that all 3D graphics from OpenOffice.org Draw and OpenOffice.org Impress will be displayed in your system using an OpenGL capable hardware. This box is checked by default. If your system does not have an OpenGL capable hardware, this setting will be ignored.

The fixed string is attached in the last bzip2ed file. Thanks
OK, just sneaked it into mergepp3fix.
This is fixed - I also put it into ooo112fix2. gh: thanks!
Thanks
